More of the best indie games from Randomise User! In this 2nd let’s play Raft First Chapter gameplay video, we board the Vasagatan ship we located in ep 1, discovering a series of puzzles as we climb from the bowels of the ship right up to the bridge.
We come across our first new mob in the Vasagatan ship – the lurker mob is a rat-like creature that chases and attacks with a fierce leap. It doesn’t do much damage but it’s fast and can be tricky to pin down.
Watch my full series of Raft:
We also see how to craft the car jack in the Vasagatan ship and where to use it (and then immediately forget); we fight the new lurker mob (a rat-like mob that leaps, bites and chases you); we see where to find electric wires, safe combination, green, red and blue key, mechanical parts, car jack, bomb and more; and we finally see how to access the bridge by using explosives, where we find Raft engine blueprints as well as steering wheel rudder blueprints.
With a release date of 3 December 2019, Raft First Chapter update gameplay includes 2 new large locations, a revamped radio tower location, 10 new small islands, 2 new enemies, an engine, fuel system, Receiver 2.0 and a craftable machete.

Official Raft First Chapter gameplay info: “By yourself or with friends, your mission is to survive an epic oceanic adventure across a perilous sea! Gather debris to survive, expand your raft and be wary of the dangers of the ocean!
Trapped on a small raft with nothing but a hook made of old plastic, players awake on a vast, blue ocean totally alone and with no land in sight! With a dry throat and an empty stomach, survival will not be easy!
Raft throws you and your friends into an epic adventure out on the big open sea, with the objective to stay alive, gather resources and build yourself a floating home worthy of survival.
Resources are tough to come by at sea: Players will have to make sure to catch whatever debris floats by using their trusty hook and when possible, scavenge the reefs beneath the waves and the islands above. However, thirst and hunger is not the only danger in the ocean… watch out for the man-eating shark determined to end your voyage!”
