King Arthur: Legend of the Sword – Official Trailer [HD]

Charlie Hunnam stars in KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD, directed by Guy Ritchie – in theaters May 12, 2017.

Acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie brings his dynamic style to the epic fantasy action adventure “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.” Starring Charlie Hunnam in the title role, the film is an iconoclastic take on the classic Excalibur myth, tracing Arthur’s journey from the streets to the throne.

When the child Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy…whether he likes it or not.

Starring with Hunnam (FX’s “Sons of Anarchy”) and Oscar nominee Law (“Cold Mountain,” “The Talented Mr. Ripley”) are Astrid Bergès-Frisbey (“Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”) as Mage; Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou (“Blood Diamond,” “In America”) as Bedivere; Aidan Gillen (HBO’s “Game of Thrones”) as Goosefat Bill; and Eric Bana (“Star Trek”) as Arthur’s father, King Uther Pendragon.

Guy Ritchie (“The Man from U.N.C.L.E.,” the “Sherlock Holmes” films) directed the film from a screenplay is by Joby Harold (“Awake”) and Guy Ritchie & Lionel Wigram, story by David Dobkin (“The Judge”) and Joby Harold. The film is produced by Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman (“A Beautiful Mind,” “I Am Legend”), Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell (“Awake,” “Holy Rollers”), and “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” and “Sherlock Holmes” producers Steve Clark-Hall, Guy Ritchie and Lionel Wigram. David Dobkin and Bruce Berman are executive producers.

Ritchie’s behind-the-scenes creative team included two-time Oscar-nominated director of photography John Mathieson (“Gladiator,” “The Phantom of the Opera”), Oscar-nominated production designer Gemma Jackson (“Finding Neverland”), editor James Herbert (“The Man from U.N.C.L.E.,” “Edge of Tomorrow”), costume designer Annie Symons (Masterpiece Theater’s “Great Expectations”), makeup and hair designer Christine Blundell (“Mr. Turner,” the “Sherlock Holmes” films), and Oscar-nominated VFX Supervisor Nick Davis (“The Dark Knight”). The music is by Daniel Pemberton (“The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”).

  5. Whenever the critics hate a movie but audiences like it, or vice versa, I don’t know whether I should watch the movie or not. I think it looks good, so does anyone know if I should watch this movie?

  6. There are a few Led Zep songs that would suit this film. The one you hear in this trailer isn’t one of them. In the very least i’d expect “No Quarter”.

  8. For the very first time, the only action film I tried watching over
and over and will not get tired of watching as I get old. This film really left me amazed like effin hell. Just wow ❤️

  9. Only God knows how much I love this movie, above of every king, middle age, movie of all time, I adore this!

  10. I loved it, I found the film brilliant; to bad they canceled the franchise. I really love the way Guy Ritchie serves the gags in 3 beats each times.

  11. charlie hunnam is not good..i think if it was a different actor this would have been a much better movie..he is too stiff

  12. I REALLY wish you'd make the other movies… this could become a cult phenomenon – you did so much amazing work!!! Please keep on!!! <3

  13. Don't know and don't care about critics on this one. One of the best movies I have ever seen. Has it all – Action, story, acting, great, believable presence by the Star in the Role, Great Soundtrack, and best of all, Great, satisfying ending. I can't ask for more from a movie. Not a fan of Guy Ritchie — until now. Will definitely pay more attention to this veteran underappreciated Director (by me for sure) going forward.

  14. How could someone not like this movie!!? This was one of my favorite movies of 2017. So much fun.
It's a shame we won't be getting more of them as anticipated. 🙁

  15. I read an article about why it flopped, it mentions multiple reasons; one of them being it was released on a Mother's Day weekend. A very inappropriate time I think.
Another is that the movie took six years, six years….. went through several directors and cast. No wonder it cost so much.
Another one is no cause for female interest.
Another is that the audience targeted might have their appetite for this kind of content satisfied by Game of Thrones.
As for me, I gotte admit the trailers aren't that great either.
The comments to the article were mostly very negative though, some commentators actually watched it and didn't like it and that's fine, it's their opinions. Others didn't seem to have watched it but were just bashing on everything related to the movie, including the director Guy Ritchie, here's what one commentator said, and I quote:
"I hope the failure of this film prompts Disney to have a rethink with respect to hiring a miscast Guy Ritchie to helm the upcoming live-action Aladdin remake.

Do we really want a bare-knuckle boxing cockney Aladdin relocated to London, full of slow-mo fight scenes and only a cameo role, at best, for Princess Jasmine?"

Somebody replied: "Is that actually happening? Sweet baby Jesus we're in trouble…".

  16. I regret I didn't see this movie at the cinemas in 3D. Fighting scenes were like a video game with HD Quality. But I didn't see it in the Box Office much here in Egypt! It was ALL ACTION, STORY & NO need of any 18+ scenes to enjoy. Plus the sense of humor is hilarious😂! Very outstanding job to the director & editor!!

  17. i know why the box office failed.. because of the trailer.. i didn't watch the movie in theater because the trailer not soo much interesting .. but now i regret why i didn't watch it in theater

  18. I sorry . The myth of king Arthur dont born in Ingland .
    Born in republic of venice

  19. I'm not into this type of movie but I do recommend because its entertainment form beginning to the end and it has alot of action.
